10 Years of Austrian Anti-Violence Legislation
In 1997 the law regulating the protection against violence in the family was passed in Austria. It provides protection for the victims of violence in the family. The Austrian way of protection against violence has become a good-practice model at European level and has inspired other countries to develop similar measures.The conference taking place in Vienna and St. Pölten from the 5th to the 7th of November, 2007, reflects on experiences gained over the last ten years and presents innovative measures and good-practice models. International and national experts are invited to present their experience and discuss future perspectives to tackle domestic violence.
