Rape in the European Union: Different systems, similar results in eleven european countries?
Criminal prosecution in cases of rape is differently regaluated within the European Union. Which are the patterns and reasons for stopping criminal prosecution. Liz Kelly and Corinna Seith present their new study which gives in-depth information and understanding of rape reporting, prosecution and conviction in 11 countries: Austria, Belgium, England and Wales, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Portugal, Scotland, Sweden. The study also draws attention to common challenges the European Union faces.The conference will take place on 29. 5. 2009 in Vienna, at "Bundesministerium für Justiz.
