Beijing +15 European Forum

On 4 and 5 February a meeting was held in Cádiz by the Spanish Presidency with the participation of representatives of member states, theCommission, the European Parliament and women's organisations from across Europe, to analyse the progress of the past 15 years of the objectives set at the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action of 1995 on equality between men and women.
The follow-up and evaluation report compiled by the Swedish Presidency will be presented at this forum and will subsequently be presented to the UN Commission on Women in New York.
