City of Stuttgart: Partnership against Domestic Violence (STOP) AND Work-Life-Balance Network

1) STOP - STUTTGART PARTNERSHIP AGAINST DOMESTIC VIOLENCE:

The Stuttgart Partnership against Domestic Violence (STOP) has existed since 2001. It is based on a specific coordination structure by which different institutions and counseling offices from the police-juridical and from the psycho-social area join forces to prevent and to fight violence efficiently.

The goal of STOP is a reduction or prevention of domestic violence and quick counseling and support for victims and offenders after a sending-off in which the offender (in most cases the man) is ordered to leave the shared apartment.
Besides police operation and counseling, consistent criminal prosecution and protective civil proceedings in accordance with the protection against violence legislation is the basis for fighting domestic violence.

2) WORK-LIFE-BALANCE NETWORK STUTTGART

The work-life-balance network Stuttgart provides a platform where experts from various backgrounds can share and discuss their experience with the promotion of equal opportunities, female leadership and work-life-balance.
