Migrant Women

Migrant women are often affected by multiple forms of discrimination - as women and as migrants. At the same time migrant women have potentials and ressources that are not seen. The skills, resources and potentials of migrant women are often neglected and not appreciated while the public discourse focuses on their shortcomings. The fact that migrant women do not get the opportunities they deserve and that this is a great loss for society and the economy is hardly mentioned.

Cities and municipalities have a role as employer as well as a role of adressing migrant women as inhabtants of cities and in providing services and activites (e.g. in welcoming migrant women, passing on information, strategies for integration, participation and dialogue, projects carried out and funded, etc.).
